Equipment access / qualified teamsRENTAL 05

FARO scanner rental for teams that already own the workflow.

Rental is a good fit when the customer already has accountable field and processing capability. Full service is a better fit when the project needs one team to own capture quality, registration, and the final deliverable.

ANSWER

What does this service do?

FARO scanner rental provides temporary access to professional Focus equipment for qualified teams that can plan capture, operate the scanner, manage data, register scans, verify results, and deliver safely. Model, dates, accessories, software access, training, shipping, and terms are confirmed for each request.

USE / FIT

Start with the project condition

When this workflow earns its place.

Match the method to the uncertainty or decision it must resolve. Equipment and output follow from that use.

01

Short-term capacity

Add temporary equipment when a qualified internal team has overlapping projects or a brief demand spike.

02

Defined site campaign

Use a current Focus platform for a bounded assignment with an established capture and processing plan.

03

Platform evaluation

Evaluate workflow fit with agreed support and realistic project conditions before a larger decision.

04

Replacement coverage

Maintain a qualified team’s schedule while owned equipment is unavailable, subject to inventory.

Before productionSCOPE INPUTS

Project-definedOUTPUTS

Files are selected for the receiving workflow.

No format or derived deliverable is automatic. The project scope confirms coordinates, detail, organization, software version, and the intended use.

01

Current Focus options

Premium Max, Premium, or Core platform access may be available after fit and inventory review.

02

Field package

Scanner and only the batteries, tripod, targets, mounts, cases, or accessories listed in the agreement.

03

Software path

SCENE, Stream, Flash, or Sphere XG access is never assumed; licensing is confirmed separately.

04

Support level

Orientation, training, remote help, processing, or full service is included only when stated.

QA / REVIEW

Rental transfers equipment access, not project accountability.

The renting team remains responsible for safe operation, capture planning, backups, registration, control, QA, and appropriate use unless a separate service scope states otherwise. If those responsibilities are not already covered, use the full-service path.

Scope boundariesREAD BEFORE USE

What the workflow does not automatically establish.

  • Availability and exact model are confirmed manually; submitting a request does not reserve equipment.
  • Published maximum range and accuracy depend on manufacturer test conditions and do not guarantee a project deliverable.
  • Hazardous, restricted, maritime, airborne, or unusual environments require explicit review.
  • Insurance, deposit, shipping, training, licensing, data handling, and geographic restrictions may apply.

Technical answersFAQ

Questions project teams ask before they commit.

Which FARO Focus model should I rent?

Choose around site scale, stand-off distance, surface conditions, capture profile, color need, and the processing workflow. Current FARO-published maximum ranges are 400 m for Premium Max, 200 m for Premium, and 100 m for Core under stated conditions.

Is FARO SCENE included?

Do not assume it is. Software versions, licensing, seats, transfer method, and post-processing responsibility must be confirmed in the rental agreement.

Can a beginner rent a scanner?

Rental is intended for teams prepared to operate and process responsibly. Training or a full-service assignment may be the safer and more productive route when that capability is not already in place.

Does a request reserve the scanner?

No. Inventory, project fit, dates, terms, payment, and logistics must be reviewed and confirmed before equipment is reserved.
